The Village of Grayslake, which purchases approximately $7 million in products and services annually, prefers to purchase locally. The Local Purchasing Initiative is designed to encourage local businesses to take advantage of this market.
When local vendors complete and return the Local Purchasing enrollment form, they will be added to bidder's lists for the products and services they provide. When the Village bids products, all vendors on the bidder's list for that product/service are contacted and made aware of the bid publishing, giving them an opportunity to bid on the work.
