Please see below for information that has been provided to the Village by the utility companies:


Comed announced on 06/18/20 a comprehensive COVID-19 package to assist customers and communities in need during this time.  The press release can be read Here

On 08/06, ComEd provided information regarding its customer assistance program for those customers who are having difficulty making their payments.  More information on the Customer Assistance Program can be found Here

ComEd encourages customers to utilize their online service options during this time.  Some items that can be completed online are:


Comcast has notified the Village that it will be taking the following steps in regards to the current national emergency:

  • Any new Internet Essentials (IE) customer will receive the service free of charge for 60 days
  • Residents can apply for Internet Essentials (IE) belo:
  • All IE customers will receive a free speed increase to 25/3 service.  This will help support a household instead of individuals
  • All US Xfinity hot spots are open & free to everyone - even non-Comcast customers
  • All data plans have been upgraded to Unlimited for 60 days
  • All disconnect and late fees have been paused - customers must contact Comcast to acknowledge the status of their account
  • Comcast has waived the outstanding debt restriction until 05/13/20.
