2018 Native Plant, Rain Barrel and Compost Bin Sale

The Solid Waste Agency of Lake County, Stormwater Management Commission and the Lake County Forest Preserve District is hosting a rain barrel and compost bin sale on Saturday, May 12 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

RESCHEDULED: Yard Waste Clean-Up Week of April 23rd

The yard waste clean-up week has been rescheduled for the week of April 23rd. There is no extra cost to residents for this service. Residents may set out an unlimited amount of yard waste for this one-time pick-up.

When putting out yard waste, residents are asked to follow these guidelines:

  • Yard waste (up to 50 pounds) must be placed in brown paper yard waste bags or plastic garbage containers (up to 32 gallon) clearly marked "yard waste".

The Solid Waste Agency of Lake County (SWALCO) is hosting a household chemical waste collection event on Saturday, April 28 from 8:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. at the Round Lake Beach Metra Train Station, 630 Hook Drive.
