Space & Environment Protection
Preserving Grayslake
Open space is, and will be, the largest land use in Grayslake. Grayslake has approximately 3,500 acres of open space and environment protection areas. The Village's commitment to open space and environmental protection benefits residents by providing convenient access to forest preserves and helps reduce the Village's future population growth.

Some of these areas include the Almond Marsh, Brae Loch Golf Course, and Rollins Savannah forest preserves; the Libertyville Prairie Conservancy Conservation Area; and hundreds of acres of community parks.

Neighborhood Partnership Program
Through its Neighborhood Partnership Program, Grayslake supports volunteer efforts to upgrade landscaping in public (nonpark / school) areas.
