Museum in a Schoolhouse

The Grayslake Heritage Center & Museum has three galleries dedicated to permanent and changing exhibitions. The Esper A. Petersen gallery is home to Embracing Change: The Growth of Grayslake. This award-winning exhibition explores the community's rich history. Two other galleries feature a wide variety of shows. A listing of past, present and future exhibitions follows. An adjacent classroom provides additional display space and hands-on learning opportunities. Smaller lobby displays also provide greater insight into Grayslake's fascinating history.
