[ARCHIVED] From Farmland to ‘Ghost House’ to Townhomes: The Cherry Creek Story

Tune in to Facebook Live as Grayslake Historical Society Board Member Jane Trump for “From Farmland to ‘Ghost House’ to Townhomes: The Cherry Creek Story” at 7 pm on Wednesday, September 8. Today the Cherry Creek subdivision boasts hundreds of homes, but for many decades there was just one house on the property. Jane will share the stories of the pioneer family that built the house, the violent deaths that caused rumors it was haunted, the colorful residents who later lived there, the fire that destroyed it, and how the land became Cherry Creek.
