Registration is now OPEN for the final book in an ongoing program with the Grayslake Area Public Library.
Book club is FREE but registration is encouraged as book copies and space are limited.
Professor of Women's Literature, Cathy Colton, of the College of Lake County will lead the discussion of "The Handmaid's Tale" by Margaret Atwood, a futuristic speculative fiction / dystopian novel. Published in 1985, the story is set in a near future New England, a totalitarian theocracy which has overthrown the United States Government.
Books will be available for pick up at the library upon registration. Book Club meets at the Grayslake Heritage Center & Museum.
This program is part of an ongoing "Subject Series" that corresponds with our current exhibit, "Be True to Your School: 75 Years of Grayslake High Schools."
