Chicago's famed American Blues Theater will peform "The Heavens Are Hung in Black," a two man play about the Emancipation Proclamation at the Grayslake Heritage Center & Museum on Saturday, June 8 at 2 p.m. Based on a Pulitzer Prize nominated script, the play examines Lincoln's changing views on slavery as he meets Dred Scott, Uncle Tom and an African-American soldier. Suggested donation $3 for adults, $1 for children.
