The Grayslake Heritage Center Foundation will be holding a Pub Crawl Fundraiser on Saturday, September 20 from 3-7 p.m. Check in at the museum begins at 2:30. Participants will receive a souvenir T-shirt and visit five downtown establishments, all in walking distance from the museum. Each stop will feature a different storyteller, who will share the history of beer. Learn the fascinating story of a beverage that has been with us from the dawn of civilization, as our storytellers take you from Ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia to the craft beer revolution of the modern age. Stops include: Abel’s, Charlie’s, Emil’s, Light the Lamp Brewery and The Vine. Cost is $25 per participant, with proceeds benefiting the museum and supporting future programs, exhibits and initiatives. Checks should be made payable to: Village of Grayslake Heritage Center Fund and sent to: Village of Grayslake, Attn: Dave Oberg, 10 South Seymour Avenue, Grayslake, IL 60030. Please RSVP with your payment, contact information, party size and T-shirt sizes by Saturday, September 13, as space is limited.
