Actor R. J. Lindsey will portray Stephen T. Mather, founding director of the National Park Service on Saturday, July 23 at 2 p.m. at Grayslake Village Hall. This program, sponsored by the Grayslake Heritage Center & Museum, is planned in observance of the National Park Service’s Centennial. Featuring colorful stories, and stunning images of parks and wildlife, this program shares true stories of courage as Mather took on Congressional neglect and ruthless speculators to save America’s wilderness.
