What is the Curfew Law in Grayslake?
Village Code prohibits any person under the age of 17 to be out in public, unless accompanied and supervised by a parent, legal guardian, or other responsible companion at least 18 years of age who is approved by a parent or legal guardian. The curfew does not apply to a person under the age of 17 when engaged in a business or occupation that the state of Illinois authorizes a person under the age of 17 to perform. It is unlawful for any person under the age of 17 to be present at or upon any public assembly, building, place, street, or highway at the following times:

1. Between 12:01 a.m. and six a.m. Saturday;

2. Between 12:01 a.m. and six a.m. Sunday; and

3. Between eleven p.m. on Sunday to Thursday, inclusive, and six a.m. on the following day.
