The Grayslake Heritage Center & Museum and the Grayslake Area Public Library presents the final book in the "American Lit 101: Revisited!" program. This book club offers a reexamination of a few literary classics.
Book Club is *FREE* but registration is encouraged as "The Handmaid's Tale" copies and space are limited.
Books will be available for pick up at the library upon registration.
Collage of Lake County professor, Cathy Colton will lead the discussion of "The Handmaid’s Tale" by Margaret Atwood. The Handmaid's Tale, published in 1985, is a futuristic speculative fiction/dystopian novel set in a near-future New England, in a totalitarian theocracy which has overthrown the United States government.
This program is part of an ongoing Subject Series corresponding with our current exhibit, "Be True To Your School: 75 Years of Grayslake High Schools."
